The Bass players in Need project it is all about helping Bass Players from all around the world, who are suffering from a serious disease or medical problems. Bass Players that no longer can play their instrument.

Billy Kristian from New Zealand, Billy plays bass guitar and piano, starting his career in 1958 with Max Merritt and The Meteors. He moved on to join Ray Columbua and The Invaders, Peter Nelson and Renaissance, Night, Headband, Nucleus, Pacific Eardrum, playing jazz-rock in Europe, recording in Hollywood – and back to New Zealand to produce contemporary Māori music. The Invaders were inducted into the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame at Vector Arena in 2009, In 2012 Billy was inducted in to the NZ Music Hall Of Fame.
Daryn Karaitiana from New Zealand Singer / Songwriter / Bass Player / Producer who has been working professionally as a musician for the last 20 years. Daryn has used the Bass Guitar as his instrument of choice, but also plays Guitar, Piano, Drums, Harmonica and sings. He has also been honing his craft as a songwriter since his involvement in the industry. He has worked with acts such as Midge Marsden, Hello Sailor, Renee Geyer, Nathan Haines, Emma Paki, Deep Obsession, The Backdoor Blues Band, The Enforcers, Ibatabros and Pio Terei. It is a long-term initiative and project promoted by Jose Ibata (Ibatabros) with the purpose of raising funds to be able to help, musicians who are Serious disease problems or in need of Operations, Medicines or other types of assistance and who can no longer play their Bass Instrument.
I´m Proud to announce the release of the first CD Bass Rocks Bass Vol.I, Out now, this way will be able to raise money, with the help of all these Amazing Musicians who in some cases are donating a song from one of their own releases. Obviously, Jose will thoroughly look at each case with the aid of medical professionals to assess how we can best provide assistance and regularly review their progress and needs.
At present I have created a percentages table to be able to offer help in the best possible way.
There are, several conditions that must be met by the applicants and must present proof of identification in each case.
So this is our first CD "BASS ROCKS BASS" Volume I
We are also looking at the possibility of a world tour, seminars if we all agree with the dates and we get a good tour manager and production team since we all have our own activities and calendars. This would be phase two of the project.
